HOOLIGANISM IN FOOTBALL, A MUST STOP PRACTICE!

       Almost everyday football around the globe keeps getting better and better. Now it almost appears to me that it is the most cheered and fancied game in the world. Football as a game, I believe was not only meant for players to kick balls into nets and entertain fans but probably also meant to serve as an institution for peace, togetherness and love among all humans or race. Now what do we see, some and intact most football fans are stepping out of this peaceful zone into God-knows-where else. I am speaking of how hooliganism has currently taken such a huge rise in most of worlds football. Maybe just before I continue let me break down what hooliganism means and probably somewhere in this article I will include some of its effects. According to Wikipedia word search engine , 'Hooliganism in football is the unruly, violent and destructive behavior by overzealous supporters of association football clubs, including brawling, vandalism and intimidation'. Guess now that the path is cleared with what exactly hooliganism is, let me move on with the rest of what I have to say. In every game there's surely a winner and a loser even if not in terms of score points, it could be that o average game play point( possession as its called in football) and others. Here is the case most of some football clubs as well as national team fans tend to over-react to certain decision which may erupt out of a game. These fans/supporters believe that some of these decisions should be in favor of their clubs/teams whilst the other half also thinks same. With this unfamiliar reaction between some football fans, they suddenly burst into violence , beating each other and even some to the extent of killing one another.
          Have we ever bothered to ask ourselves what and why such ungodly act exist in the football world? Maybe not, but here are few reasons I think leads to certain disastrous acts. First and foremost, the major cause is RACISM. Some football fans have their mindset that football officials and executives must act in favor of their racial origins and also even among the fans themselves they tend to discriminate each other. Secondly, unfair ruling by some officials also lead to such acts. These officials probably, upon being bribed by a particular team/club goes on to the field and turn the game upside down than expected and when this happens one, two or more of the fans present tend to misunderstand certain decisions and hence explode into violent acts .
          Last I would add is that, most of these supporters or fans who engage in these activities are found under the influence of alcohol. We all know how one behaves, and to what extent his/her attitude can get when he/she takes in too much alcohol. The future of world football may be sinister if this preposterous attitude of some football fans fails to cease. How long must we tolerate this act, knowing very well that each day passing by lots of lives are being lost and most properties destroyed? It's quite time the world unite as one and fight against hooliganism in football as well as other sporting activities. It's said, 'the foundation you lay today will determine your structure tomorrow'. So now let's ask one another, "What foundation are we laying now?".
          I believe that after we've asked ourselves this question and reasoned well enough over it, we will surely come to conclude on a better way forward as one people. I always say this "ugly apart, Beautiful together ", this is just to say if the world will put behind all sort of discrimination and think to act together as one, surely the world will even be much better than we think it is today. Lastly I say this , though technology may be abound in the world now, but it only takes the strategist and well planned person/people to make a huge impact. Let's rise and stop hooliganism in world football once and for all. Thank you.
