HAPPY 4TH JULY DAY TO UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

I am purposely writing this article just to acknowledge the massive efforts Americans have made to get it to where it is now. We all know that when we sit to talk of great nations, we can never exclude the United States of America. America has been of great influence to many countries in the world in terms of support and many others. On this note I would like to wish all Americans a happy independence day. Before this day, lot of events had taken place until it finally got to a point that America had to separate themselves from the rule of the Great Britain. This event particularly took place on the 4th of July,1776.
Maybe a brief history would give us an idea of why Americans cherish this occasion like that, especially to those who wonder why. On the fourth of July 1776 as stated earlier, the continental congress declared independence for America. Speaking of the continental congress,  it was made up of thirteen colonies; VIRGINIA
DELAWARE
NEW HAMPSHIRE
MASSACHUSETTS BAY
PENNSYLVANIA
NEW JERSEY
GEORGIA
CONNECTICUT
NEW YORK
MARYLAND
SOUTH CAROLINA
NORTH CAROLINA AND
RHODE ISLAND and PROVIDENCE PLANTATIONS.
These thirteen colonies together had common political, constitutional and legal systems which were dominated by protestant English-Speakers. The continental congress was first presided by Peython Randolph and later by Samuel Huntington. Most, and all of the congress' meetings were held mainly at Pennsylvania Statehouse,Philadelphia,Pennsylvania.
It was later then that the second continental congress voted to approve a resolution of independence which had been proposed by Richard Henry we of Virginia in June, declaring the United States independent from the Great Britain. It was due to this that led to the legal separation of the thirteen colonies on July 2,1776. Thomas Jefferson,  a principal author and third President of the US together with for others (John Adams-2ND U.S President; Benjamin Franklin-1st U.S Finance Minister; Roger Sherman and Robert Livingston) making a committee of five, finally approved and declared Independence on the 4th of July 1776 after the congressional had debated and revised the wording of the declaration.
Now, the Americans mark this day as a federal holiday annually, every 4th of July. On This occasion or holiday, one is likely to experience the display of fireworks, picnics, barbecues, family reunions and all sort of merry making. So I believe we have a little gist about what the July 4th is all about. Hence on this note, I will once again wish all Americans a happy Independence day. May God Bless America! Thank you.
