FORGET ABOUT THE FUTURE

Image
To every living being knowledge is thrilling, and to also possess a foreknowledge regarding any particular thing is absolutely elating. Without a doubt, the future is what every heart do earnestly look forward to experiencing. Nothing can be compared to the excitement that comes with having the privilege of knowing what to expect in the nearest future. People dread being taken by unawares, which is the reason for our having a plan to work with while venturing into business. Humans would happily prefer to see into the future so as to have everything in place in preparedness to tackle whatever challenge that the future intends to bring. This necessity to be futuristic in turn would mean a business opportunity to the fortuneteller(s) who will be sought after by the knowledge seeker(s). But who can withstand the pressure that a futuristic knowledge can bring? Each day of our lives presents us with cares and burdens that can't be wished away. There is always a portion at dawn

MATRIMONY

Image
Humans do live in association with one another. No benefit comes by living a solitary life. Keeping friends is natural to us. But these friendships always do come in levels. We share our lives with others based on what brings us together. Some friendships are just for familiarity purposes with nothing much to achieve together as well as no real-time commitments. Others, as a result, are of social groups or professional associations where community goals are at stake. The interest of the organization is held in high esteem.    However, there is one other form of relationship that is much closer and intimate than the others. It is MATRIMONY . Though there are levels of intimacy before marriage which are acceptable to society, those are nothing compared to actual marriage. It is only in marriage that we find rights, privileges, and security. This is so because both partners publicly swear to be faithful to each other. Moreover, it is expected that both will work for the intere

An introduction:Information Technology and Biotechnology

Image
Humans have achieved huge growth in the short term and long term. Thus, whoever  saw the new comer never taught it will be this magnificent. Even the pioneers of this new regime are perplexed at this move worldwide. But it seems history wants to repeat itself and if we willed, history will give no discount. As a fellow, I cannot give people food or clothes – but I can try and offer some knowledge, thereby helping to level the global playing field. If this empowers even a handful of additional people to join the debate about the future of our world , I have done my part in this journey. The proclamation of this new era is intended to cause bewilderment to the individual not shouting on the street proclaiming, “the Apocalypse is here”. This journey is intended to explore information technology and biotechnology now, in the future and how we arrived at the point. My focus is on current affairs and on the immediate future of human societies. What is happening right now? What are toda

NO TEARS IN MY EYES

Image
Try to hold me down Make me look bad in town Push me into the water to drown No tears in my eyes Criticize everything I do Tear me apart into two Tell them all your saying is true No tears in my eyes Try to look down on me Send me down on my knee Wish for the sea to swallow me No tears in my eyes Pull me down along the street All the bullying , ~repeat~ No tears in my eyes Try to sway my outlook on life Cut my throat with a knife Keep disturbing my world like mice No tears in my eyes No tears in my eyes, because I try to fantasize the words "I don't care" Darling, ...let them say it, let them do it, Be the strong person you are, there shouldn't be tears in your eye... SOCIAL MEDIA: Has it succeeded or failed to enhance Africa’s development?

Image
Over the years, the African continent has been prone to lots of changes. We can all understand that these changes have had substantial effects on us as a continent. One of these changes is none other than technology. Technology has spread like wildfire across the African continent. The use of mobile gadgets and others have made things quite easier, no doubt. Particularly social media, which is our item under the spotlight today. With all the enormous amount of information social media passes around, has it succeeded or failed to enhance Africa’s development?        Development in Africa in all aspects, is moving at a slower pace. Government leaders often try to justify this by simply stating that there are not enough foreign aids. However, people are beginning to realize how dissipated the Governments have been to access of foreign funds. In other words, their eyes are open now. But how can others hear about this?  Most people are able to voice and share their views o

Buckle Up

Shadows cast, lights out, flashback! Off the dance floor, down to the golden mattress Fantasy did touch the lips and hips of reality No stress, no chorus, no applause Just self-indulged copulatory commentary That threw millions of spermatozoa in a dicey race. A race, with just two rules: *win by ace or death is the case* Shadows lengthened, lights on, behold the present! Kudos to you! You won that exterminatory contest; yet with no bones, no expertise. Here, destiny challenges us to gladiatorial combats For this you must hear The rules may not always be fair Opponents ruthlessly attack -- with both club, dagger and spear While the crowd hiss and tease with every setback you face in the arena -- That invokes series of intimidating atmosphere. It matters not, if the throes are heftier than River Mississippi Any3mi, si wo trimu pi... And buckle up! It matters not, the count of defeats you record Just don't fall on your sword; set up a comeback -- I mean buckle

If it must done, it must be done well

Government institutions have, in recent times, come under lots of scrutiny from the general public. The exposure from much coveted investigative journalist, Anas only revealed the depth of rot at these places. It is no new news to hear about the unethical behaviours that deface our public sector all  because  many people in these institutions do not see the need to be responsible for the outcome these institutions produce at the end the day. Evidently, both the ‘powers that be’ and the masses are alike answerable to this impunity. We all do share in the blame , every single individual of the country because we have not raised up our heads to say "no more" and have not made our confessions of repentance with a firm decision to do right by the country. To begin with, one major cause of the social menace is the overload of work being assigned to subordinates by their supervisors in other words exhibition of laziness by the leaders. Once a person manages to hurdle through the
